TRAVEL PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The travel program is designed for those players with above-average skill levels for their age and who want a higher level of competition and training. Teams are formed in July for the following year, and tryouts will be announced via the website in June of each year. Training may happen year round, with the games being played mainly from April through July. Some travel teams will choose to play a fall schedule as well.
The Plainfield Athletic Club (PAC) is committed to providing positive, challenging, safe, and age-appropriate competition. Our program will promote responsibility, respect, teamwork, leadership, dedication, hard work, hustle, and sportsmanship. Our emphasis is on learning the fundamental baseball/softball skills needed to play at a higher level in a healthy, fun, and family-friendly environment.
Winter Training facilities used include the new Go Pro Dome, Joliet Junior College, and Batters Box, as well as the local schools in the Plainfield School District. Training typically starts in January and goes through March, leading up to the Spring Season. Each team will have its own training schedule.
