A Comprehensive Guide to the 2024 Tryout Listings on BaseballConnected: Unlock the Best Search Insights and Key Tryout Dates.

Last year, BaseballConnected served as a vital resource for youth baseball tryout listings for players aged 6 to 18. The graph below indicates that the 12U age group had the highest number of tryout opportunities, accounting for 12.5% of the total. This was followed closely by the 14U age group at 12.0% and the 13U age group at 11.7%.

For older players, however, the number of tryout listings decreased. The 17U and 18U age groups represented only 5.7% and 3.3% of the opportunities, respectively. This decline may be attributed to many players already being committed to their high school or travel teams instead of participating in open tryouts. In contrast, the 7U to 11U age range experienced a steady increase in tryout listings, peaking at 11.2% for 11U.

From early June to mid-July 2024, BaseballConnected saw a significant and consistent increase in tryout searches. This trend indicates a strong and sustained interest in tryouts, particularly for age groups ranging from 8U to 14U. Search activity peaked on weekends and early weekdays, with a slight decline during the July 4th holiday. This persistent demand, supported by BaseballConnected’s user-friendly filters, highlights the platform’s vital role as a resource for coaches posting their tryouts and for parents looking for opportunities for the upcoming travel baseball season.

Scheduled tryout listings surged to a peak on July 9, reflecting the height of recruitment activity. By July 11, over half of the tryouts had already taken place, indicating a rapid pace of events. Meanwhile, searches for tryouts had peaked a month earlier, around June 9, suggesting prospective participants were actively researching opportunities well in advance of the main tryout period.
