UNITED STATES AMATEUR BASEBALL LEAGUE HISTORY
USABL was established in 1986 as the first youth amateur travel baseball league in New Jersey. The league has grown to become the largest travel program in the tri-state area with over 2,000 teams playing in the Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons. USABL’s founder, Robert “Bob” Delahant began the league as a way to get more competitive baseball to supplement his son’s little league all-star team with extra games.
USABL offers competitive travel baseball for ages 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15/16, 16/18, 18 & Over, 28 & Over, 38 & Over.
The USABL goal is to offer players competitive and quality baseball, as well as all that comes with being on a team. We pride ourselves on giving players/teams a chance to teach good baseball and play competitive baseball at an early age. USABL held its first-ever USABL State Championship in Spring 2013 at the 13U age group and it was a huge success. We plan to continue putting together the 13U State Championship and have plans to implement it in other age groups as well in 2014.
