The 2026 Motor City Classic will be held July 15-19, 2026, all over the state of Michigan (and beyond). It will be Michigan’s premier event of the summer! The Motor City Classic has 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U, and 17/18U age groups. Please note some pools will start on July 17th or 18th (depending on pool play site). No teams will be required to play on July 15th. It is optional. The 2025 tournament had 335 teams play. The 2024 tournament had 339 teams play. The 2023 tournament had 316 teams play. This was Michigan’s largest tournament in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.

The Motor City Classic Baseball Tournament allows coaches to pick the pool play site for their respective teams! Please contact Matt Sandles for details on picking your team’s pool play site. Matt Sandles can be reached via text or phone call at 248-752-8185. He can also be reached at Novisandles@aol.com. The Motor City Classic Baseball Tournament is running pool play sites all over the state of Michigan (and beyond) in order to make this tournament geographically accessible to more teams. This tournament has run pools all the way from Livonia to Grand Rapids and even north of Flint! Sunday’s playoffs for all age groups will be in southeast Michigan. Texting or calling Matt Sandles is preferred over e-mailing him if possible. Teams typically play all of their pool play games at a single site for the duration of the tournament. Although the tournament will start on Wednesday, July 15th, 2026, playing that day is optional for all teams. There is also the possibility that the 14U and 15U divisions will not begin play until Friday, July 17th depending on pool play site. Any teams from out of town in the 16U and 17/18U divisions need to be prepared to play on Thursday, July 16th. The 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, and 13U divisions will only run July 17-19. 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, and 13U teams will not begin before Friday, July 17th, under any circumstances. The pricing structure can be found by scrolling down this page or in the menu. Please be sure to text the Tournament Director Matt Sandles at 248-752-8185 as soon as you register to confirm that it was received. All game guarantees are weather-permitting. The Motor City Classic will use Tourney Machine for a majority of tournament communications throughout the event. Please note that this tournament does not offer refunds outside of the ones that are awarded for winning an age group. Tiebreakers are computed by Tourney Machine. Tourney Machine will decide all pool winners and seeding for the playoffs.
