Founded by New York Mets Hall of Famer and World Series Champ, Howard "HoJo" Johnson, and his son, Glen

With coaching experience from high school to the Major League, our program is designed to help young athletes reach their full potential.

Teamwork

Success is dependent on the team as a whole, with each player contributing in their own way. The star of the team is the team... We supersedes me. We will work together towards a common goal which will help build trust, and will lead to a more positive team dynamic overall. We will communicate with each other and support each other on and off the field.

Humility

Have a humble heart. In sports as in life, humility isn’t about downplaying your talents, it’s about acknowledging them without letting your ego take the drivers seat. It’s recognizing that every win and every loss is a step on the path to being not just a better athlete, but a better person. A humble athlete gives glory for all accomplishments to God. Our athletes recognize that all skillsand talents are divine gifts.

Respect

“Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.” - Philippians 2:3

All HoJo players will respect every opponent, but fear no-one. We will respect the process. Winning is a byproduct of the preparation and respecting and trusting the process. We respect the process by working hard and striving to be better everyday to achieve short term and long term goals.

Integrity

We define integrity as the practice of being honest and showing consistent uncompromising adherence to strong moral and ethical principles and values which will be the foundation of our program’s success. This foundation will serve as the cornerstone upon which trust, creditability, and respect are built. Integrity isn’t merely a moral compass; it’s a guiding light for our athletes.

Vision

Our vision for the HoJo program should bring each individual into alignment with the program’s overall purpose and goals...Both short term and long term. Bringing HoJo’s vision firmly into focus optimizes and utilizes our time, talent, and energy to it’s full potential. Our players and teams will know it’s purpose and can act confidently while playing for HoJo.

The HoJo baseball program will establish a “Standard of Excellence”. When our players commit to excellence, it’s more than just showing up at a tournament and trying to win, it’s the commitment to preparing and working to win every moment in practices and games. When HoJo
players commit to excellence, we are willing to go the extra mile to maximize our full potential.
